Annie Laura’s is a true staple in the Riverdale community, an old school, family-owned spot that’s still serving up comfort food the way it’s supposed to be. This place is the epitome of a mom-and-pop restaurant you never want to see disappear. I’ve been coming here for years and my order never changes: smothered pork chops and rice with lima beans. Every bite feels like home. It had been a while since my last visit, and I couldn’t help but notice the plates seem a little smaller than I remember.. but the flavor? Still top tier. The line is usually long, and for good reason. If you’ve never been, do yourself a favor and check them out. Annie Laura’s is one of those places that keeps the soul of the neighborhood alive.
My experience at Annie Laura’s Kitchen was absolutely bussssin! The food was packed with flavor and tasted just like real Southern home cooking. Everything I ordered was sooo freaking good — seasoned to perfection, fresh, and served with love. You can tell the chefs put real care into every dish. The only thing that didn’t quite hit the mark for me was the peach cobbler — it wasn’t bad, just not as amazing as the rest of the meal. But honestly, the rest of the food made up for it big time. I’ll definitely be coming back for another plate soon! P.S renovations to the staff to the establishment is highly recommended!
The food and service was great my only critic will be the collard greens they lacked flavor. The pork chops were great as well as the mac and cheese and dressing I had pound cake for dessert and it was great as well.
